 | Happy Pancake Day Everyone. La Chandeleur is the Catholic tradition in France (equivalent to Pancake Day). It is celebrated traditionally on the 2nd February. A great day for my children, as they are allowed to eat as many pancakes as they wish for tea and entertain us with some extravagant displays of flipping and catching the pancakes in the pan ! It is even more special for my family as we are from Brittany where "les crêpes" (pancakes) are the regional dish and are served all day long in "Crêperies" (pancake restaurants) to the delight of everyone. |
