January is the month where in France we celebrate the Epiphany by baking the traditional Galette des Rois cake. This is celebrated on the first Sunday after the 1st January to honour the three Kings (les Rois mages).
This celebration is a really popular dessert with families. 2 small figurines are hidden in the cake. Whoever discovers them becomes "the King and Queen" for the day !
