Those of you planning to spend some time in France during the Summer months can look forward to the abundance of music and free concerts that can often be found in many of the towns and villages you visit.

Free concerts frequently take place outside in the open air, particularly during July and August and are often set in an interesting location, such as a chateau courtyard or with a pleasant scenic backdrop.

They are usually quite low key and casual and provide a perfect way to spend a pleasant hour or two during a warm summer evening. Concerts can be of any taste from  acoustic classical and choral to jazz, world or modern.  Enjoy.....
